Although the Lord told me that I would be a pastor some day and gave me a good vision of it, that does not tell me what to do every second of every day. I said, "Lord, if you will tell me what to do every second of every day, I can do this, this will work." Instead, it is necessary to rely on whether there is peace about something or whether there is not peace about it. Is there a leading? Is there an urging? Am I impelled?
For example, one Monday, all of a sudden, it was laid on my heart to pray for Pastor Sam Harris. I called the Pastor and he said, "Sure, fine. When?" I said, "One o'clock." He said, "Great, I will be here." When I got there, yes, Pastor was
there; also his evangelist from Brooklyn had just arrived for the week. A Christian rap singer had just arrived. James Wall was there for his first day because the Lord had led him to serve the Pastor rather than stay at his previous church. He said that he had prayed extensively about it and finally had come. I told him that one of my brothers was also named James Wall. We talked about it and he said, "This is confirmation to me. I really wondered whether I had the story correct from the Lord when I came over here. But, this is confirmation to me that I was supposed to come here. It settles it for me." The five of us prayed for each other. We were on our knees. We layed hands on each other.
There were tears. There was brotherhood. It was awesome. All this happened, why? Because of a feeling, being led, to go pray for Pastor Sam Harris. Much more than praying for the Pastor happened. One more time God had a large number of things to accomplish with one action on my part. INSPIRATIONAL
Once, the Lord let me know that He would not forgive me for forgetting to do the things that He has asked me to do. That sent a chill down my spine. Write down instructions and information given to you by the Lord. When the Lord asks you to do something, your joy and satisfaction will exceed by far anything you sacrifice for it.
