I really did not know about the power of the Holy Spirit like Acts 2:14 reports: "When the day of Pentecost did fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."
I did not know about the Holy Spirit indwelling me. Acts 4:31: "And when they had prayed, the place where they

assembled together was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. And they spoke the Word of God with boldness."
Also, I had my own plans and my own purposes. Now I understand that the prophet Jeremiah reports that the Lord has plans and purposes for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 says: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Where is the information about this? Is there some big secret about how to be with God? Is there some big secret about how to do it? I was 53

years old and I did not have a clue. I said, "God, I surrender, I give up, I give in. I'm willing now to do it some way other than my own. Just show me Lord, what is it that I'm supposed to do."
I'm happy to report to you that there is no secret, but some of us just never understood. James 7:8 and 10 says: "Therefore, submit to God, draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners and purify your hearts you deceitful. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up."
